Dr. Judith Lee started at Forsight Vision July 1, after having practiced in the neighborhood and wider community for the past eight years. With the addition of Dr. Lee to their practice, Forsight Vision continues its commitment to providing thorough and exceptional eye care so patients’ eyes and sight are in good hands.

Dr. Lee earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, majoring in biological sciences and minoring in psychology. As a senior, she also studied abroad at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She earned her Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she received clinical honors in patient care. Outside of school and work, she has previously volunteered on Onesight mission trips, both locally and internationally, helping to bring eye care to underserved communities. She also donated eye exams weekly amongst unprivileged local and international populations.

With more than 15 years of practicing experience, Dr. Lee specializes in unique treatments including multifocal contact lens fittings. Finding the right solution for every patient is a large part of why she joined the optometry field, and is an influence in her other specialties, like myopia management and dry eye treatments. A dry eye treatment specialist, her skill set adds a valuable skillset to Forsight Vision’s team.
“Vision is so incredibly important,” said Dr. Lee. “Preventative care and education are essential to long lasting, healthy sight. I work to help educate patients about their eyes and health during eye exams. I want to help empower our patients to take care of their eyes and know the signs that will make them aware if something is off. Everyone deserves to see, and with myopia management especially, you do so much to prevent children from having issues in the future that can really improve overall quality of life.”
Dr. Cohan said patients can count on Dr. Lee for their eye care needs, particularly when it comes to dry eye, which is especially pertinent in the back-to-school season.
“We really want patients to know that they can rely on Dr. Lee as a resource for her specialties,” said Dr. Cohan. “She’s very skilled and has so much experience that we want all our patients to be aware of the fact that we now have even more availability on some of our specialty services now.
