Ralph Opacic brings Dr. Jerry Mandel to Opacic Consulting Group as Senior Associate, boosting their arts education consultancy with decades of leadership experience.

Ralph Opacic, the Founder and Executive Director of Opacic Consulting Group, a leading arts education consultancy, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jerry Mandel as Senior Associate. Dr. Mandel brings a remarkable six decades of experience in higher education leadership and performing arts management to the team.
Dr. Mandel’s career is marked by significant contributions to both academia and the performing arts. He holds a doctorate in organizational communications from Purdue University. Dr. Mandel transitioned to performing arts and served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the esteemed Segerstrom Center for the Arts and later as President of the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
He has also served as the vice president for University Relations and Development at California State University, Long Beach; Executive Vice President at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts at San Diego State University. He also led the development department at the University of California, Irvine, as Vice Chancellor.
